Bigtime. RFC822 headers don't have to reflect the addresses in the RFC821
envelope (which represent the actual recipient). What if one of your users
subscribes to ILUG? :-) (before you say $u: what if two of them subscribe?)

I'd have thought that free email accounts were easy enough to come by with
dialup connections these days. A single account might feel like lower
overhead, but that's false economy.

Bzzt! In a moment I'm going to put on my New Rocks, come over to your house
and jump up and down on you while shouting "Don't put a dialup host as primary
MX! Use /etc/mailertable dammit!!" Then I'll go back to nursing my poor
listserv server.

Ozone-friendly MTAs will handle multiple recipients in a single session, and
if your MX is semipermanently unreachable (like dialup is) then *every* post
to a mailing list will be delayed while the SMTP connection times out. I
really, really, hate that, and so do my boots.
