[ILUG] Is there some risk to get a virus under Linux

It's possible to write a Linux virus, or at least a technical document I
read on a "hackerz" site once explained how to exploit the ELF binary
format Linux executables use. As usual, in a rush at the time and only
scanned it.
If the above isn't true then the Unix security model of users and groups
should provide a much bigger challenge to viruses than the Windows "take
everything" attitude.
That and the fact that 99% of the Unix using population are not using
the same mail-reader helps.
Of course, one reason you won't find any viruses on Linux is that
everyone is making so much money out of it that those that are talented
enough to write a virus are solving real-world problems for big bucks :)
