This is exactly what I was thinking of. I knew it was too good an idea for
me to have been the first one to think of it :-)
Of course paudio won't help with SDMI playing under Linux, assuming that a
player won't be available in reasonable time - for that, a paudio thing
would need writing for 'doze.
