[ILUG] login blues...

What account? if it root try the options already suggested but if it not try
moving everything out of the users home dir especially the hidden files like
.profile and .gnome stuff. The other suggestions will tell you what the
problem is. this will simply fix it. you can then look at the files at your
leisure to see what caused it.
