[ILUG] Mandrake Kppp Problem.

I have used Mandrake 7.0 and 7.1 in the past and am now using version 8.0.
With each of them I have encountered the same problem with Kppp when connecting to Esatclear. (Probably caused by having two home PC's networked.)
I was able to make the connection O.K. but then I was unable to connect to the Internet or even to ping Esatclear on 194.145.128.1
My solution up to now has been to log in as root user and use "usernet".
I (and others) have asked for a possible solution in the past but nobody was able to help. Now maybe I, myself can help.
I bought a cd in Easons yeserday. Title: " Definite Linux Bookshelf. Version 1". It has got 25 of the best Linux books on it plus all the man pages and Howtos. I found a solution to the problem in the first Linux networking book that I opened on it.
The problem is a routing problem.
If I make a connection and then change to root user (su) and type in "route", I get the following:

The default route seems to be set to my network card rather than to the modem.

If I then type the following at the prompt:
[root at howth-design webmaster]$ route add default ppp0

Hi, Presto! I am now connected.
The only problem now is that I have to go through the same routine each time. Does anybody know how I can edit my routing table  so that I can avoid this, or more importantly, how where do I find my routing table! :-)
