That's well bizarre ! You say you haven't used it in a couple of weeks -
perhaps it worked then because it had an IP address. Right now, the ifconfig
output says that the card has no IP address associated with it. If you
disconnect the cable from eth0 NOW can you still e.g. ping other machines
from this one. Or can you ping the IP address which you believe to be
associated with eth1 ? If so, is there perhaps some kind of bonding of the
two Ethernet interfaces in use so that you have some kind of failover ? Just
a wild guess, as I can't see how otherwise you can pass IP traffic through
that card.

What do you mean by "all regualr IP addresses show as normal" ? (I wouldn't
worry about what Linuxconf thinks, BTW - that's just a reflection of its
database why doesn't necessarily concur with reality)
