[ILUG] Creating a multihomed host.

The card is set up to use a broadcsat IP address, 230.0.0.1, yet the ifconfig
doesn't show this.
If I unplug the hub that each of the other network cards use (the ones that
have been assigned regular IP addresses) the "shared data" is still up to
date on the servers.
What it is is:
I'm using orion server (a web/application server) and I have a servlet
running on each of 4 servers, the configuration of the server allows you to
create a cluster of two or more server and share data between the servers in
the cluster. This data is shared using a broadcast ip address.
And it works, which seems weird to me with my small understanding of linux
networking.
I'll have a another dig around tomorrow and post anything I find thats
interesting,
Thanks again for all the help,
Oisin
