[ILUG] Urgent question re mouseless Gnome or KDE

To clarify that just a bit,  /,*,- determine *which* mouse button click
will be generated by the use of 5,+ or 0 but will not generate clicks by
themselves.  So, the sequence to get to the Gnome Control centre through
the menu (Though there's usually a button directly on the panel) is:

<SHIFT><NUMLOCK>
<ARROWKEY(S)> to move (very slowly!) to the gnome button
</> to select MB1
<0> to open the menu
<VariousARROWkeys> to get around the menu
<5> to release the mouse button at the desired app
