We will be using 11 megabit cards. (roughly 1 megabyte) The actual transfer
rate will depend on factors including distance, weather conditions etc. We
are expecting that over the 1 mile range for all the people allready
involved that we should get about half of the 11 Mbits. Were you using the
inbuilt aerial on the buffallo cards. We definately will not be using the
inbuilt aerials as I understand that they only designed for line of sight
over a few metres. We are planning to run cables to the roof where we will
mount proper aerials. The model we are looking at is only 20 inches long but
gives 9dBi, although we might end up using directional antennas with double
or triple that output.
I would be interested to hear about your setup with the buffallo cards.
We will probably at some point get in a leased line for internet connection
and share it across the network.
