Hi.
I have a write but no read smb share for students to upload stuff to from
the
wonderful world of windows:

Extract from /etc/smaba/smb.conf:

[uploads]
path = /SomeWhere/uploads
public = yes
guest ok =yes
only guest = yes
writable =  yes
printable = no
create mask = 0765

I've set file permissions on /SomeWhere/uploads to be world write, no
read. I have restarted via /etc/init.d/smb restart

I can connect via smbclient & put files to share. But Windows people
cannot.

The annoying thing is that this all worked in March! Something in MS-land
may
have changed to fsck things up. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

John
