In the default sendmail config, the corresponding file is called
"sendmail.cR" - look in your sendmail.cf file for a line like:

FR/etc/mail/sendmail.cR

(or any line beginning with "FR"), which should tell you where this
file is meant to live.

Might I suggest Donncha's excellent install-sendmail script, which
makes up sendmail.cf for almost every conceiveable eventuality.
http://members.nbci.com/xeer/software/ has details.

I'd also suggest changing to exim or postfix, which are about a
gazillion times easier to configure than sendmail is, but this might
be beyond the scope of your request.
