[ILUG] Imminent death in the family

My old and faithful servant, a Northgate OMNIKEY/102 keyboard (widely
regarded as one of the best keyboards ever made) is on the way out. One
key switch died some time ago and after a little while with screwdrivers and
a soldering iron, I managed to sort that out - after all, who really needs
TWO control keys. But now my 4/$ key has died, and there aren't really any
suitable replacement victims (though the keypad /*-+= keys are being looked
at in a cannabilistic manner).
Now in fairness, the keyboard is > 12 years old but it's a fabulous
keyboard. I've at least half a dozen keyboards floating around with which I
could replace it (including one IBM with a lovely feel, but unfortunately a
UK layout and the Control key in the wrong place) but I want to replace my
Northgate if possible. So, a googling I did go and at last we come to the
point of this email (and about time too, do I hear from the cheap seats ?)
I came across a reference to a posting of mine to ILUG about the BBC which
mentioned this keyboard. Curious as to what I had been talking about, I
followed the link and came to a mail which was not from me and had nothing
to do with Northgate keyboards. It seems that Google has an index of our
mail archive which is at variance with reality.
Regards,
Niall
