Cheers Phil,

I will try that tonight. I'm a bit of a newbie to all this Linux stuff and
this big hard drive is really driving me mad as I don't want to waste a drop
of it!!!

I had heard that I won't be able to install after cylinder 1024. Is this
true?? Where could I get a hold of this partition magic on the cheap or
free if possible? Do you know if this procedure is scripted anywhere as I
like to have the steps printed out in front of me before I do things of this
nature. I'm still very attached to me windoze stuff on my PC at the moment
and don't want to lose it!!

Cheers for the advice
Dave

You could try creating a ~20MB /boot partition as the first partition on the
disk, using partition magic or something similar. Then you can make your
windoze partition larger, and use the rest of the space to install RH7.

Also, turn off the checking for bad blocks while formatting, if you have it
turned on, it takes _ALOT_ longer if this is enabled.

HTH
Phil Trickett
