This is a far better disk managment util than FDisk
	To use: 
			RTFD
			Put part.exe on a floppy
			boot up in dos using win boot disk
	`	      put the disk with part.exe 
			type part at command prompt  
			I think it is self explanatory interface (Be careful
out there).
			I have used this util with great effect.
 			Including backing up the Master boot record 
			so any partition you delete can be reinstated etc.

Give it a whirl!

	As regards HP hidden partitions I'd be guessing. Dell however uses a
similar thing. "The utility partition is a bootable partition on the
hard-disk drive that provides most of the functions available on the Dell
Server Assistant CD. Most of the application programs found on the CD are
contained in the utility partition, occupying approximately 10-20 megabytes
(MB) of space on the system's hard disk drive. When invoked, the Utility
Partition boots and provides an executable environment for the system
utilities. When the partition is not invoked, it is designated as a non-DOS
partition."

	More relevantly if you want to kill it ... "NOTE: The Utility
Partition provides only limited DOS functionality and cannot be used as a
general-purpose DOS partition.

To remove a Utility Partition, use FDISK.EXE and delete the first non-DOS
partition (the Utility Partition)." --- backup all your data first, FDISK
can hurt your system. Personally I'd leave it there and install around it,
unless you really need that 15MBs.

I cannot delete or format it. When i right-click on it everything is
disabled 
except the 'Help' menu item. I found this strange and wanted to know what it

was. The intention was to dual-boot. RE M$, I have learned not to mention
them 
or their products again unless it is to put them down. However there is no 
obligation on everyone to answer every question, if you don't want to then 
just delete it.
