the fs doesn't matter at all. his disk just gets magically bigger,
and he'll have extra space at the end of disk to partition and mkfs.
(he says the megaraid presents RAID volumes as scsi disks, so i'm
presuming he partitioned it. i'm also presuming DOS partition schemes
do not rely on disks not growing, eg cause blocks are counted from
the end of the disk. i presume not, else RAID mfters wouldn't do disk
growing.)
