[ILUG] Linux on an IBM RS6000

Haven't used AIX in over a year but it was an
extremely stable platform as a database server and as
a web server. IBM have recently made efforts recently
to make AIX more Linux compatable. I didn't have too
many problems compiling or installing standard GNU or
associated tools/applications on on AIX (4.1 I think!)
apart from some bigendian-littleendian problems which
is associated with PowerPC chips not AIX (I think!). 

So I'm not sure if there would be a great business
reason for switching to Linux if your comapny has
already paid for its AIX license. Still, could be fun.
