Yes, though it cost more than the BBC. Its raison d'etre was to run CP/M.
There was also an 8088 (maybe even an 8086 ?) coprocessor available - the
Torch. Its raison d'etre, unsurprisingly, was to run MS-DOS.

P.S. And to drag this, kicking and screaming, back on topic, Linux has been
ported to the Acorn ARM boxes which were the inheritors of the BBC' mantle
and were widely used in U.K. education.
