[ILUG] HD question

A quick question that somebody may be able to answer.

If I had a filesystem that contained a directory.
That directory had stuff in it.

If I then mount another partition using the original directory as a mount
point is there anyway that I could delete the contents of that directory
without unmount the new partition??

I know this probably sounds pretty stupid but there is a good reason
really.
