Look,
I'll put it to ya this way... DSL is like Foot and Mouth because;

1)	The UK get it before we do and have it nation-wide
2)	They(Eircon) are trying their damdest to keep it out of Ireland
3)	When it does finally arrive only one county will have it
4)	The people who get it will probably suffer lots of downtime

DSL is NOT like Foot and Mouth because;

1)	FNM can spread easily
2)	FNM wont cost ya 75 quid p/m = 900 quid per year!!!

Now, wheres my disinfected ISP gone....

VIA already are :)   Unfortunately, it's only available in certain parts of 
the UK.

To be honest, I don't know what the plans for a DSL rollout.   It's clear 
from what I've heard internally, as well as what I can gather from Demon 
Internet's and Nildram's websites, that although DSL is officially 
available in the UK, it will be quite a while before it will become
mainstream.

What the plans for Ireland are I don't know.
