Not exactly a linux question per se, but here goes:

After many years of using a good old reliable university news feed, I have
recently been forced to downgrade to doing it through my ISP. And it's
not nice. It's bloody _slow_.

So, how does one get decent spped on a modem. My current setup is with
IOL (Nolimits), using tin on my home box. Is there some way of caching the
news articles, so I only have to download thenew ones, or will
I have to install a news server on my own box to achieve this.

BTW, cc any replies to me, as I'm not on list at the mo.
