IMHO...

Sequential charwise output: 8.7MB/s    Respectable
Sequential blockwise output: 9.3MB/s   Awful, (1)
Sequential blockwise rewrite: 5.7MB/s  Not great. (1)

Sequential charwise input: 9.4MB/s     Respectable
Sequential blockwise output: 57.4MB/s  Nice! :-)

Random Seeks: 785.9/s                  Wow! You sure the test was big enough...?

(1) To be expected with raid5 without writeback. This is raid5, I take it?
