If you are reinstalling NT regularly , you should look at Norton ghost
restalls nt in about 10 minute with service pack etc. etc..

And I know which one I'd go for.. given the choice between a reinstall of
NT (which takes about an hour when you learn it), and a completely
NTFS write access is stupidly dangerous... it's just short of playing
real-life russian roulette with your hard drive..
