I'm using Arkeia ... but I reckon it's a little expensive, although its cheaper than other comercial solutions. But for your case, if you've all *nix boxes, then Arkeia might be a bit unreasonable.
Having said that, it works great with my AutoLoader (VXA Autopack). And backups and restores are all easy to setup, once you get your head around the terminology. It has the fault of not being able to "duplicate" a tape though, if you wanted to send some tapes offsite, say. But that's supposed to be in the next release v5.0, also, another fault is the way it stores it's index on the local filesystem ... if you have many many folders to be backed up, it creates a file and folder for each folder on the local filesystem, with the result that your local filesystem can fill up, but all you need to do is allow for that.
