[ILUG] What does 'Changing network settings' mean in simplest of all cases?

Vijay,
	"changing network settings" can mean many things, depending on your
setup, and how you use the words network and settings.

The one thing that was said, is that 
	/etc/init.d/network stop && /etc/init.d/network start
run as root should apply any settings that have been changed.

If you find that the settings you wanted to change haven't changed, you may
have to edit a number of files by hand, there have been a number of posts
explaining exactly what you will need to do in this case. The tools don't
always work the way you'd expect, but you should always get your settings
instantly.

If you mean that you want to change your settings without restarting the
network, then I'm afraid there is no way you can do that.
