What ? No broadband in Ireland yet ?
You really can't be serious ..
You do know what means - that all those people who predicted that
they would have shining new broadband connectivity by Jan of this
year have been proved wrong....
and all the cynics that were laughed at all year because they
said that we wouldn't have broadband - have been proved correct.
Silly old cynics, getting it right..
Now we really can't allow that situation to continue, so I propose
that the government and the ODTR release a statement about how
well equipped Ireland is for broadband technology - and I further
propose that they announce more funding to put more fibre into ducts..
They've already wasted so much money doing it this way - that
to stop now and implement real strategies for broadband in Ireland
would seem like such a waste.
Then we can all sit together in the dark at christmas, and watch
as all the fibre strands get lit, and in 40 years time when
our children ask 'what was it like before broadband?', we can
tell them 'just the same as it is now, because we still don't have it'.
The end-user broadband rollout in Ireland will happen, but we need to
wait for the magic announcement from the ODTR.. which will be worded
as follows:
ODTR Announces strategy for Broadband in Ireland
Dublin - June 2040, The ODTR finally announced that it is ready to begin
the process of rolling out broadband in Ireland. When asked for comment,
Sean Og Doyle (grand son of Etain Doyle - who first started this historic
process) said
"All pigs fueled, and ready to fly".
