[ILUG] Difference in text files

Hi,
As mentioned in some mail, that linux can read all plain text files, I must say that although all plain text files seem to be plain text files, but they are not - atleast for the DO$/Windoze and Unix/Linux platforms. On former, end of line is marked by ASCII 13 and ASCII 10, where as in latter it's done by ASCII 10.
As per my experience I have found that Linux has problems in executing a script created in notepad(or any DO$/Windoze). So i have to strip off the extra character ASCI 13 using dos2unix program that ships along with RedHat Linux.
