[ILUG] Keyboard problem with multi head X

Having just acquired an LCD monitor I decided to make my box multi head
(because the LCD fits where another glass tube wouldn't have). SO I braved
the rat's nest of cables and took my box out and put in a PCI Mystique I had
lying around (still plenty of those left, if anyone wants one).

To my surprise, SaX2 (SuSE's X configuration tool) happily set up both cards
for me. Didn't do a wonder ful job of it, I have to say, but a little touch
of Emacs and I had a working config file. I wanted to use Xinerama but KDE
doesn't play too well with it - the panel is the width of both displays, and
as I'm running the glass at 1600x1200 and the LCD at 1024x768 this is a bit
of a problem - the right hand side of the panel is somewhere in cyberspace.

(I think better Xinerama support is coming in the next release of KDE, but
that doesn't help me now). So, no Xinerama - just old fashioned two head X
but with a slight twist - the window manager doesn't seem to acknowledge the
existence of windows on the second screen. They don't get decorated -> no
window controls, so they can't be moved, resized etc. And worst - they don't
get focus, so you can't use the applications.

Obviously this is not a whole lot of good to me. It's a SuSE 7.2 box with
KDE 2.1.1. Any ideas ?
