I think of nothing else. Myself and John have spoken about this on
several occassions. The OS and software side of it are a doddle. The
main thing I've got trouble with is the case. I've spent a lot on my
seperates stereo system and don't fancy plonking any old crap PC case in
there. Unfortunately I've not been able to find anything that would suit
(suggestions welcome. Then there is the TV output to consider. I'd like
to code up a nice gui for the TV screen for selections and track info
etc. And if you are doing that then why not have it play DivX cd's to
the TV too.
Hmmm. Digital convergence is a lovely idea and certainly lets your mind
run off figuring out how to do it. But I don't have the time/resources
to do it right. And if I can't do it right then I won't bother at all.
