If you have the money to spare why not consider http://shuttleonline.com/sv24.htm
It has the TV out, USB, Ethernet and Firewire connectivity as well as audio,
though I've read that the onboard audio isnt the best in the world...
just add a DVD/CD drive (and hard drive and cpu and memory)... 

All in all though a very small and unobtrusive computer, only thing missing
is the IR receiver but you can either buy that (http://www.evation.com/irman )
or make it (http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Code/3863/uir/content.html 
but for that you need to be familiar with microcontrollers )

I dont have either of these but am considering asking Santa !
