Hello,
It's only a matter of drivers, what is the driver and videocard you own
? As Xine developers mention on their website, Xinerama is secondary
(not strongly required) if you have hardware acceleration (which doesn't
seem to be your case).
You might want to check on the complete FAQ from Xine which lies here:

For your Xv problem, do you have xvinfo installed ?
There's also a cvs faq which i can't seem to find anymore :(
Did you try vlc (aka videolan) to test if this one was doing hardware
acceleration properly ?
