because apple makes awesome laptops.  if the apm s/w in linux catches up
and handles the h/w as smoothly as macos pre-x, then linux on a powerbook
will crank next to an x86 laptop.

actually you'll want a location manager of some sort like macos has to
complete the picture.  in general linux gui developers should look to macs
or next for a goal for ease of use.  ms-windows is not the goal to have.
