That's reassuring; I have several friends who are interested in playing
DVDs with similar hardware, and they're not ready to shell out for a card
just yet.

Just a note on Xv etc.:If using MPlayer, the option '-vo sdl' will use SDL
YUV-whatever surfaces, which uses hardware accelleration.

The one in Debian (Sid) has strange problems; it keeps segfaulting on DVDs
that play fine in MPlayer. Still, there is *one* DVD I am unable to play
the main movie from, and that's A Bug's Life. I think "Disney DVD" actually
means different format DVD :/
Anyone had luck with anything from Disney?

If Xine agrees with your box, it bloody well should agree with mine, where
the CPU is the only difference ;)
