not so sure. modern airplanes almost fly themselves, CAT-3 has been
around for quite a while under which an airplane will do the approach
itself and bring the craft to 50ft off the runway, whereupon the
second pilot sights the runway, and the flying pilot flares and lands.

(and i'm sure some can even land themselves).

truth is, pilots of modern craft need do very little actual flying.

if that happens you're screwed anyway... unless they actually /did/
have fully automated systems. (and existing craft are already 99%
equipped for it).

anyway... where's planes at linux.ie? :)
