[ILUG] Box drawing in VI

My favourite DOS editor was Qedit which had a nice box drawing mode which
was handy for simple forms and diagrams. Select box draw mode, use cursor
keys to draw box. Is it possible to do something similar with my new
favourite editor, vi?

I suspect there's a character set thingy going on here.
