I just got some spam about these - little plastic things which fit on your
keyring and have up to 512MB of flash. They sound like a cute idea - have
any of you tried one with Linux ? I've only used two USB devices to date, a
Logitech Wingman and a Fuji camera, but I must say the camera worked nicely
under 'doze, simply appearing as another drive (on the kids' PC - on my main
box, although it knew it was there by seeing it on the USB port, it insisted
that it was connected via a serial port.) I also tried it on a Mac where of
course it worked flawlessly. Anyway, if these things drop in price and work
cross platform they'd be the absolute business for schlepping smallish
quantities of data around.
