[ILUG] NFS Mandrake 7.2

Hi,
I have been trying to get NFS working.  When I try to start it in init.d I 
get an error message "Starting NFS quotas: Cannot register service: RPC 
unable to receive errno = connection refused"

It seems that RPC should be started first.  However there is no RPC in init.d 
 Similiarly I can't  find it in Linuxconf as a service.

How can I check if it is installed!!  Ther is no RPM on the CDs with RPC in 
the title.  A search in the KDE pakage manager draws a blank.
