Actually, there's quite a good driver for the lucent modems under linux ...
IIRC it was written by lucent themselves (it's not included in the Kernel
'cos it isn't OSS.
The modem in Marx- that I mentioned is actually internal, rockwell IIRC.
Generally modems present themselves as serial devices, and as such need no
special drivers to work.
www.linmodems.org should have info on the lucent one ... if not a quick
google should help.
