I gave upo on Suse 'cos I couldn't compile anything. I had to have a
sup[erdevelopment version with gigabytes of libraries. I even came across an
install file that said "If you have SuSE, scrap your (xx) libraries and
download a decent set from somnewhere." I had a snapshot version st the time.
Mandrake does beat Red Hat at Red Hat's own game, IMHO. It shoehorns in very
easily.
The next linux distro I get is going to have to teach me how to do things
myself more. I'm fed up being kept in ignorance.
