Useful Tip:

If you happen to accidentally format a FAT32 partition and need to recover 
the data, there's a tool called lost&found made by the partition magic
people www.powerquest.com which very effectively will recover the bulk of
data (admittedly depending how fragmented it is) and has lots of tools for
getting it off the machine afterward.  It's not Open Source or Free to use,
it cost about 50 quid.  However, in some circumstances, this is worth
absolutely every penny.

Please don't ask how I know this!
