uh.

redhat 6.2 + updates + ximian.  xfree 3.3.6.  i use the following xmodmap commands in my x startup script:

    if grep -q fatal /var/run/tpconfig.out; then
        echo 'Detected a mouse\!  Not moving mouse buttons\!'
    else
	xmodmap -e 'pointer = 1 3 2'
    fi
    xmodmap -e 'keycode 115 = Multi_key'
    xmodmap -e 'keycode 116 = Multi_key'
    xmodmap -e 'keycode 26 = e E 0xa4'


i make sure i use the iso<whatever>-15 fonts.

AltGr-e gives me a euro symbol, AltGr-c gives me a cent symbol.

i am aware that many redhat 7.x users have a hard time getting it to
work - reason #6 to wait for redhat 8.x.
