This might interest some people, considering there is now a Linux port of
Maya..

Maya Personal Learning Edition will be available for download in
February; it will use a special format of its files, so it won't be
entirely compatible with the regular edition. There's also mention of
a watermarking system for images. It will be just what people need to
see if they want it. Hopefully there will be a Linux PE, too..
