[ILUG] Samba & Win95

I know this is really a Win95 problem, but the other half of the issue is
Samba so I'm using that to claim that I'm close-to-topic here. My
reputation within my own family for fixing stuff is dropping rapidly. I
need to fix this one soon if I'm to continue having meals cooked,
clothes washed, tax affairs put in order, life organised... :-)

I have 3 Windows machines (2 95, 1 98) and a small Linux machine
running Samba. Why would one of the W95 machines not see samba
resources at all, while the other 2 Win machines see everything? The
problem machine can see resources on the other Win machines, but
not on samba. The 2 working Win machines see resources on samba
and on the problem machine. Dumping nmbd status shows that
samba is master of a workgroup that contains the 2 working Win
machines but not the problem one.

I've gone through the network setup on the problem machine with a
large magnifying glass and made everything the same as the others,
but still no luck. It seems to me that the problem machine is refusing
to run Netbios over tcp/ip, while pretending that it's doing it. Tcp/ip
itself is working fine (can telnet etc).

One other clue: if I run nbstat on the problem machine I get an error
that it can't access the nbt driver (can't remember exact wording).
Looks like something may be missing. But what exactly?
