[ILUG] Devfs ?

It's default on Mdk 8.1 anyway ...

Seems to be generally okay, with the exception of a few glitches ... (like
/dev/cdrom being linked to /cdroms/cdrom0 for some reason, so breaking the
link ...)

You can turn it off at boot time, by revoking the devfs=mount option in
lilo.conf
