Alan had a few comments on, well, Mr. Gooch (the devfs author) and his
coding, but tangentially related to devfs. I think the upshot was that
it's a good idea, but the implementation could use some work. FWIW,
RedHat 7.2 has devfs support in the startup scripts, so if you do
happen to set it up you don't have to modify your init files much.
