i'm not downgrading to 2.4.  if anything i want to upgrade to 3.0.
oh wait, you mean linux 2.4.  well...  i dunno.  see there's a linux
2.2.19 box that nfs mounts the same dir (as well as several others)
and hammers on it a great deal more (it plays all my mp3's which are
pretty much on from 9am to 1am the next day).
