How would this affect using Ximian-GNOME. I imagine that apt would see
that the rpms differed from the RedHat rpms, back out the Ximian ones
and reinstall the RedHat ones ???

Unless there is a Ximian RPM apt repository ? Can you make an ftp mirror
a repository easily ?
