[ILUG] Jetdirect printing Q

Howdy all, 

I am trying to set up a JetDirect connection to our HP Laserjet 4000
printer here in the office. Not having done this before I am using RedHats
(ver. 7.2) printconf-gui tool. The settings I am using are nearly
identical to my win2k box, which are essentially, IP_address:9100, 9100
being the printer port.

Setting that part up was fine, and restarting lpd does not seem to pose a
problem. I then try to print a test page, of any form from the 'test' menu
option, but no joy. All I get is 'Error printing test page' message.

Is there somewhere, as in some file, I can look at to figure out what the
problem is, or anything else I can do to resolve the problem???

When this eventually works, I will be yet another step closer to moving
away from windoze... So any help will be greatly appreciated.
