[ILUG] RH 7.2 Serial problem

Just installed RH 7.2 (replacing SuSe 6.*)
All is well but my serial ports are a problem.

I have modem on /dev/ttys3
but
setserial -g /dev/ttys3
gives
/dev/ttys3: Input/output error

(Same with all other ports)

What am I doing wrong? Is there a "modem config tool"

All worked fine before changing from SuSe to RH.

Help.
