I have this book and it is ok not great. It actually covers all types of
linux programming from shell scripts to python if I remember correctly (
the book is home and I'm at work). It also covers very little in the way
of C.

I think that the SAMS Teach yourself C for Linux is a better book and it
only covers C. ISBN: 0672315971
