Hi,
I come across something similar at times on diffecnt distros usually though.
But it has not happened for a while now but here is what I would usually
have (Forgive bad spelling and typos still sedated after the dentist :-)
Listen I normally do not specify
BindAddress *
<VirtualHost *:80> (Why I added the port 80 is sometimes apache would
complain)
ServerAdmin root at irelands-web.ie
DocumentRoot /var/www/html
ServerName irelands-web.ie
ServerAlias irelands-web.ie *.irelands-web.ie (why have server ALIAS
set to irelands-web.ie when thats its name. I usually just have *.blah.com.
ALSO Make sure the DNS is configured to do wildstar and point at your box)
ErrorLog /var/log/http/error_log
<Location />
AllowOverride none
Options Indexes
Order allow,deny
Allow from all
</Location>
</VirtualHost>
tail -f /var/log/error_log when restarting, very helpful. Also have you
added any new DSO's etc tec, that may be the cause. Usually the best way I
find to debug apache is make it as simple as possible and then start adding
onto it. Also make sure all files and directories exist.
What version of apache you using and what distro?
Later
Aj
